I'm commercial photographer & digital media consultant living in Derby, UK & working everywhere. I'm passionate about what I do and who I do it for
I wakeboard and snowboard, love to travel and make Street photography where ever I go.
Borough Market, London.
Over the last few months I've been busy with a steady flow of work, I can't complain in fact quite the opposite. It is however a breath of fresh air to photograph just for the pure pleasure of capturing the moments around you.
When I think about why I love photography, it boils down to, the ability to freeze the scene in front of me as I see it and share it with with others. This is also the reason why I don't prescribe to the route of heavy processing, but prefer to make the end photograph using the camera and lens rather than turning a photograph i've taken, into an image in photoshop.
I digress. A couple of weeks ago I visited Borough Market, in London. It was a feast to all five senses and the perfect place to photograph just for fun. Unfortunately my love of good food is on a par with my love of photography. This meant that I spent most of the time using my hands to eat rather than to photograph. After sampling the scallops, kangeroo burger, duck sandwich, bratwurst and cheese cake we moved on.
I strolled along the South Bank to visit the Tate Modern snapping as I went. There was a fantastic exhibition Photography: New Documentary Forms especially the large panoramics by Luc Delahaye which are well worth a visit.
